DORATEYMUR

THE STORY

‘Footwear’s boy wonder’ Dora Teymur puts an inventive spin on classic shoe styles such as the Cuban heel ankle boot, mule and loafer, all authentically crafted from the finest leathers. The Turkish designer’s snappy womens shoes mimic a Beatnik flair or ‘Marie Antoinette-meets-punk’ if you think back to the fall of 2016. A graduate of the prestigious Cordwainers in London, Dora Teymur’s shoes were originally dubbed as ‘granny shoes’ but his dedication to contemporary footwear design finally paid off after launching the eponymous brand in 2012. With the Munise mules and Turbojet loafers being a current favourite of street-style icons and ‘the pieces to buy’, Dorateymur ‘s shoes are providing fancy footwork amongst the fashion industry.

THIS SEASON

Dora Teymur went to new heights for the new season with his ‘Thunderbird’ chunky platforms, evocative of the 1970s with flower decoration and the ‘Sybil’ over the knee boots that were definitely made for walking and a style the designer has not worked with up until now. Also introduced to the Dorateymur family was the ‘Nip Zip’ boot, similar to the Drop Noose style except given sleek hoop hardware available in a range of glossy patent leathers and the ever-charming ‘Model Z’ bow mules. To take us into the new season, we love the versatility of his Harput loafers.
