What does England mean to you?

England stands for the spirit of fair play and battling on with a wit and self-deprecating. And not being afraid to be yourself - maybe a bit eccentric, is all part of being truly British. The word ‘England’ also evokes the seemingly endless summers of my childhood at the family farm; painting, cutting up my mum’s lampshades to make myself dresses and eating strawberries and drinking cider. I think England is extremely romantic and I love our heritage'

Who is your GREAT British role model?

Her Majesty The Queen – I know its Royal fever this week, but she will forever be a role model of female empowerment, keeping calm under pressure and displaying complete Grace at all times. She represents all our country should stand for.

What defines British Fashion?

Individuality. The best place to see unique British style is out and about and on the streets of London where people are experimental, the individual flare of British Style is something I love.

What is your most important reference in the history of British fashion?

We are a British brand and I am incredibly proud of that. To be British is to have a rich heritage that is ever evolving and open to inspirations from around the world is the constant reference for my research and design. 

What other British creative do you most relate too from any medium?

Our British arts scene is incredible and I am very proud of friends like Joe wright and Rupert Wyatt who are making some of the best films of the moment.
