- What’s New
May is the finest time to embrace old world Riviera glamour. Taking cues from the decadent display of full-length frocks seen on the red carpet this week at the 65th Cannes Film Festival, explore this season’s feminine, figure-hugging bodices and sumptuous flowing trains. A rose-tinted collection by Barbara Casasola gives off delicate high summer elegance in long, delicate pleats and monastic lines, while Manuela Dack marries fun and formality in her silk and leather contrast eveningwear. For the ultimate film star allure, look no further than Azzaro’s dazzling Joshua dress with its eye-catching cropped crystal bodice. Add another dash of inspiration; take a tour through fashion history at the much-anticipated exhibition Ball Gowns: British Glamour since 1950s at the V&A. Eighty ball gowns created by British fashion designers over six decades. Trace the transitions of the definitive luxury garment of choice and find your favourite silhouette.
