Look no further than your closet confectionery for the spring/summer 2013’s colour palette. Pastel shades such as lilac, rose, mint and cornflower popped up on everything from clothing to accessories on the catwalk. Avenue 32 has carefully chosen the best soft hues to help you stay on trend.
Pair a sherbet coloured top with neutral trousers or go head to toe in sugary shades for a charming look. Garzon’s ballet pink cropped jumper or Alexander Lewis’s sea foam cardigan are easy to wear water-coloured separates. A peachy-pink pleated dress by Giles or a pistachio Zac Posen shift are sweet but not saccharine.
The toned down prints of the season are romantic and not as intimating as past versions. A No. 21 green and blue plaid skirt with white lace overlay makes a feminine yet still impactful statement. Our fashion pick is the Antonio Marras carnation and honeydew jacquard princess coat.
If you prefer colour blocking to pattern, Avenue 32 has many luxurious options. A dove grey and chalk blue L’agence dress or peach, ochre and maize shirtdress will keep you on-trend.
Accessories were given a lighter touch. Heavy metallics were replaced by macaroon hues. Prism’s blush sunglasses and Marie Mercie’s pale life Sabine hat are prime examples.
